I think they did in Japaneseland. In the free world we have to settle with the 2.5 Sports XT which is still awesome.

The XT only had like 200-220hp right? Subaru deprived it of 300 and this should be fixed

Precisely. It is my affordable dream car. And really it's just some cursing, some PB Blaster, and a bit of wrenching away from being an STi.

Honestly I don't actually know the specs. But I do know a six speed and a flat six would be nice.

I remember possibly seeing one here in Toronto, however it was going pretty fast and I didn't have the time to pull out my phone and snap a picture of it.

My regrets, guys. The same happened with a Quattro; the only one I've ever seen that i know of.

There is a guy by me in town that i have heard owns an early 2000's Forrester with a full Sti drive-train conversion. I have not seen it myself but have heard it talked about many times with car people in my area
